Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) launched an upgraded website. The
new site is designed as an easy-to-use, convenient resource for Harrah's
customers to book hotel rooms, check event calendars at Harrah's casinos, redeem
special offers or review their Total Rewards account balances.
"The Internet has evolved into a crucial business tool," said David Norton,
Harrah's senior vice president of relationship marketing. "Providing our
customers with a user-friendly, efficient Web site capable of handling a wide
array of common transactions helps cement our reputation as a customer-service
leader, and provides significant cost savings opportunities."
New features of harrahs.com include improved design and navigation; a redesigned
Total Rewards section, including a catalog of merchandise customers can browse
online; a streamlined process for reserving hotel rooms online; expanded
reservation search tools, including an option to search for airfare and hotel
packages; and photos of hotel rooms and more detailed room descriptions.
Various subsidiaries of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. own or manage 28 casinos in
the United States, primarily under the Harrah's and Horseshoe brand names.
